The latest word is I’m getting a new bracket from Alex on here to weld onto the existing axle with some reinforcement .should do the trick.. once again I truly appreciate everybody who reached out to help me with this mess ! great bunch of people on here

Yeah you do have a point there it’s getting pretty bad and I’m thinkin about it the fronts decent at least because of all the oil leaks 😅

This is where the flange snapped off and loose shock mangled my tire going 65 I took it to my friends shop they kept it over a week charged me $700 and the car didn’t even make it home before it broke again tearing up the replacement new tire in the process. With friends like that who needs...

My lower shock mount rear driver side just broke loose while going 65 and instantly shredded the tire it was a real eye-opener. Struggling to put the rig back together now. don’t want to replace the entire axle looks like Alex will be tiding me over with a Saw off from rust free ca

Driver side rear shock upper bolt-on mounting plate and lower axle bracket with flange have rusted out. I need a viable top plate and a sawed off axle bottom mount bracket which I can weld to my axle. Thanks for reading hope you have

Sorry for the confusing picture that round thing is where the flange was attached that the end of the lower part of rear shock would go over to secure it to the axle. came apart well going 65; pretty hellish experience because it tore up the tire instantly

This is the bracket seen from where the flange where the shock attaches is supposed to be. Drilling out and adding a new bolt alone will not be sufficient to properly secure the shock to the axle
