I have sprung a gas leak.
I have a pre 9/72 with original tank. Anyone on here retrofitted the post 9/72 tank?
CCOT has a reproduction tank they make but it's a later tank and they say it's possible to retrofit. I'm looking for any first hand knowledge/experience.
Thanks
Looking for a spring pin for front of rear axle. Sheared one off this weekend. Even a older used one in good shape would do.
Also any thought on a gas tank for pre 9/72 replacement? Don't really want to line mine but 500 for a new one is a bit steep, or are the poly ones any good these days?
Thanks
Looks good Lane. When I weld them back up I mount them back in the rig and spin them to make sure they are lined up right. Close enough is usually good.
As far as making stronger shafts I just measure the OD of the stock tubing and buy a slightly larger piece of DOM at the local steel supplier...
I would suggest a torch and a puller of some sort. Could use a slide hammer. Experiment you will be going to tube fenders eventually. You might try the library they might have some body working books. The torch will allow the metal to be easily worked if u just try to do it cold it might not...
What about a trail cut before it thaws with some snow on the ground. We could get a head start on it before mud season.I still haven't got a chance to see swanzy yet I cant wait.
