I've checked all the timing marks on all the pulley's and they all line up good so it's got me stumped big time as to why it's running the way it is..
What turbo set up do you recommend for a 2006 HZJ78R with 30,000km's?
I know the 1HZ has it's limits but I really want more power and can't afford to up grade to a HDJ78 at the moment.
Brand new filters all round. Really trying to avoid the rip off diesel mechanics who charge over $100 per hour and put the 2nd year apprentice in charge of the repair! But if all else fails then it looks like I'll have no choice.
do I blank off the lines at the vacuum pump, blank the exhaust return and disconnect the plugs from the unit behind the glove box ? Will this bypass/eliminate the entire EGR system? (I need to physically make it look like it's still there in case of road side inspection).
Unfortunately It needs to pass a government road worthy before it can be registered so I'll have to replace it for now and then blank it all off after it's registered.
