Thanks scdunn. The chicken rock does look a little scary. Got to trust your spotter. I heard it's better to go down it than up. I heard people say the "steps" below the cabins in south park canyon may cause rocker damage and the trees in pleasant canyon might do some pinstriping.

80 through South Park / Pleasant Canyon Thanks everyone I will check with the local clubs on current conditions. Not sure if I will have my sliders before I go.

I am new to this forum and need to get my 80 out on an adventure. Can a stock 80 (no lockers) handle the Pleasant Canyon/South Park Loop in the Panamint area of Death Valley? I see videos of stock height jeeps and raised 80's handling it.

You have to loosen the bolt on the end of the adjuster and the top bolt holding the alternator before using the tensioning bolt.
