Look back to post #18, my fix is still working 16.5 years later it hasn't thrown the code, daily driven. Lets call this fixed.

Yes I installed it and cut it based on pictures. I almost made the cut too wide at the opening at top back of the bumper because the cover almost doesn't cover the opening. If someone did provide measurements it would be great for future searchers.

The mechanical switch that is in the axle itself has been a source of electrical issues for me. From memory the same switch is used front, center and rear. If it were me I'd buy one just to have on hand and troubleshoot this first while it was being shipped. Chris
