I have a Kenwood 710 radio. It is a dual band rig with APRS capabilities (I used to own a Yaesu FT 7800R). The beauty of dual band is the ability to monitor different freqs. I can run comms on one band and APRS on another, or monitor two freqs at the same time. Icom is a good brand as is...

Sure wish there was a CampTec option for the FJ Cruiser. I'd be all over it...I'm sure there would be many others as well.

That 200 was (is) nice, I saw it on Sunday as well. The Jeep Africa...meh... Adventure Driven has some cool rigs, amazing what a good sponsorship can provide for you...They work hard for the recognition though.

Yes! The only slightly tricky area will be the waterfall. 12 FJ Cruisers did it today with ease. I've done it in my FJ when it was stock... Go....have fun...
