Rookie mistake to not test things before removing parts. Also rookie mistake to drop a headlight as I took it out.
I was hoping to upgrade to the Kyoto kit from Cruiser Outiftters today but hit a snag. I had upgraded my battery cables to the heavy duty ones made by a user on here and now...
I’m not in tune enough with a motor to diagnose a new sound. Any guidance on what this may be. The YouTube video is the motor after starting this morning. The whine was minimal a week ago now it’s hard to ignore. The noise is concentrated near the carb or atleast that side of the motor.
Based off this wiring diagram, could someone putting an aftermarket temp gage in the truck cause the fuel gage to not work? I pulled my float and there is no corrosion, the terminals are clean, but I’m getting no power reading. May have to dive deeper into wiring than I was hoping to since I...
I have all of the hoses sitting in a box. I got caught up in redoing the knuckles and some other front end stuff first. Plus winter weather and a cold garage killed a bit of momentum. I plan to start the hoses in the next couple of weeks then move forward with a de smog this spring.
Maiden voyage was only a few miles down the road, but considering before this truck I’ve never done anything more than change oil, I’m calling it a win. Fully rebuilt the knuckles, tie rods, new steering stabilizer, and new calipers pads and rotors.
Oem rotors with Napa calipers and oem pads. Knuckle rebuild and front brake redo is finally complete.
This time next year I hope I’m stacking ducks with this old girl on my Fj60 tailgate instead of my truck.
New brake hoses and while I was replacing rubber brake parts I figured I would put on new pedal pads. They were a last minute add in to push me into free shipping territory 😃.
BFH and a demo ball joint separator from auto zone and I’m back in business. The hammer alone wasn’t doing it, but a few taps while under pressure from the puller and it broke loose. Thanks for the brainstorming.
