I was the guy in the Jeep this year. We chose your event because you are all awesome people, and because it allowed us to attend it as a family since it started the first week of Summer Vacation. If it was a few weeks before, we wouldn't have been able to make it.
Cool. May be one of my last Sundays off for a while, and even though the truck isn't where I want it yet, I still want to run hard so I can get it out if my system.
Who has Sunday off, and would want to meet somewhere for the day in early January, or maybe the last day in December? I'm not particular to the location, but central Florida is probably ideal.
Yeah, I work Saturdays so they aren't an option for me.
In any event, it looks like I'm going on 12/8, Saturday. I'll be there around ten or so, and hang out for a few hours.
Not sure if I'm going to be camping, or just hitting it for a few hours. Picking up a truck in Dunnellon, then heading there around 0900 for a couple hours. Anyone interested?
Edit: date is going to be 12/8
I dunno bud, I'll have to drive it more to find out. It was cold, and it ran okay, pretty much like my old 22r. Maybe a bit more power, I didn't drive it very far. In any case even if the gasket is bad, it's not bad enough to prevent me from taking it out a few times before doing it. I didn't...
Meant to say, it's in really decent shape. Engine feels maybe a bit weak, but maybe I'm not used to s smaller V6. I don't care though, for a trailered nuts trick, and it needs is some bigger tires and it's going to be a freaking blast.
Another plus one for brushless. Back when I was younger I did nitro, but now with brushless, man,I don't miss it at all. I get 20-30 minute run times on our monster trucks, and I never have to tune them. No noise, and no one complains. It's great.
