My after thought advice Go to Ensenada for Tech/ and contingency, enjoy the town, spend the night maybe, have tacos Lily fish tacos or El Trailero taco stand, you will get over the masses real fast, grab some T shirts, Head to San Felipe the night before, have a nice dinner on the water, stay in...

Fly into San Diego, make sure your rental can cross into Mx, get a place early in Ensenada, lots of placed rent out for the race, hotels too, the more gringo friendly the faster it fills up. I prefer to be away from the bustle, depending on the route I suggest Ojos area or South towards Colonet...

I will second the Guadalupe Hot Springs off the Lauguna Salada, epic trip into them, really neat camp sites, great pools.

GPS trackers solve those problems pretty quickly, they should stick to NORRA and just enjoy the drive instead of being chumps. Reminds me of Acer and his PR starts then pulling out 20 miles into the race and bolting town.

Spent most of the race in Percibu area, did a road trip to Gonzoga Bay for shrimp and hung out in San Felipe for 4 days, never once did I not enjoy my time there

Tropical storm season, travel with that knowledge

I will say, I had a Honda Big Red UTV, that thing was the most reliable tank I ever used, hauled a huge load, went everywhere and never skipped a beat.
