I went with the TRD Tacoma 17" rims. I agree that there isn't much difference in braking or ride feel but it was an easy way to gain some with when coupled with 275/70R-17 BGD TKO2s.

I've got the TRD's with an older and tired OME 2" lift. They are mounted with BFG KO 2's in 275/70R17. I lost a little power with them over the stock rims and 31's but I gained almost 2" of clearance.

Definitely delete the speaker holes.

I agree that Kelly's grills are the best. I've had one for a few years now and it is bombproof.

I mounted 6.5" rounds in the rear panel of my 60. There is plenty of room behind the panel. They sound better when the rear seats are down as in the picture. I rarely have the rear seat up so that is not an issue.
