never had any issues with the 3 speed in my bronco 5.0 efi turning 39.5's. just a lot of broken cromo axles in the 44.:eek: i'm droping in 1 ton axles & a c6/205 in the bronco & the oldest son gets the hand me downs for his fj40 project. he's only going to run 35's to start. :D

3.41 first gear. combine that with the 5.89's in the axles= nice crawl ration in 4lo.;)the fj's going to be offroad only anyway.

my son & I are going to try a complete ford power/drivetrain swap off of my early bronco crawler to his fj40. 5.0efi motor/3 speed manual/twin sticked dana20. dana44 up front & 9"out back. I'll let you know how it turns out.:rolleyes:

pm this guy, put it on, check the clearance with plasti-gauge, if it's good run it;) Had to do that with my 302's rear main cap, still running strong after 6 years;p
