Just picked up my FJ60 from my mechanic, did the conversion to 134a, can't get the system to work, he can hotwire it and compressor runs and blows cold. He thinks the Amp may be bad...
having lots of issues trying to get my AC working, or should I say my local mechanic is, he says can't even find the thing....just sent him this picture! he is trying to trouble shoot the whole system, compressor not kicking on.
just dealing with this very same issue, Got my truck back with a new engine (rebuilt), guy says, oh the oil gauge is not working....and it is not the sender. I don't have the melted wire like you do and my FSM says 65 ohms resistance for my FJ60, I am getting 45. Would love to be able to fix...

I just installed the one from MAF, very small amount of coolant seeping out around the gasket. Gasket they provided is the thicker metallic with semi perforations on it (like a head gasket) They said dry install. I think I will be forced to remove and re-install with a little gasket sealer....
I know this is an old post but.......my solution was to take a Dremel cutting wheel and cut the carb spacer out of the manifold insulator, that way you can use the insulator and not space the carb too high. My issue of today is that the machined aluminum spacer+the Weber 38+the factory air...
