    Ex Aussie Army HJ47 Rebuild

Cheers Shane, I have not, but I will. Would it be possible to get a copy of the material that you have got? It would be interesting to put with the toyota manuals I have for my beast, and would also be interesting for a read. Cheers. Pat

    Ex Aussie Army HJ47 Rebuild

G'day Spot, I don't suppose that technical data you have found has a wiring schematic for the army modifications does it? I am specifically looking for the wiring for the lighting system. Cheers. Pat

    Turbo for a 2H HJ47

G'day, could anyone tell me if there is any reason why I could not or should not fit a CT26 turbo to a 2H motor in my HJ47? I don't know very much about turbos but I figured that if they fitted these up to a 12HT motor it might work. my motor has 145K on the clock. I have found someone...

canvas I am not sure who you have sourced to manufacture your canvas, but my trimmer has told me that Robco products in Sydney will most likely have an original drawing for the landcruisers as they have been making canvas for army vehicles for years. He told me you should speak with Andrew Page...

By the way, if you need to get some of the propper metal bungie cord hooks, my trimmer also has those. Cheers.

    Ex Aussie Army HJ47 Rebuild

If you have the cash you can get new old Toyota stock door trims as I did from all four spares at Kotara NSW, they are grey just like the originals but at $165.00 per trim!! Still probably cheaper than the amount of effort to reproduce them. If you have problems with the canvas give me a yell...

    Ex Aussie Army HJ47 Rebuild

update Good to see that she is coming together for you mate. I agree that they are a pleasure to drive with the power steering. I certainly don't regret converting mine, but it was pricey with the 40 series box. I think that the next thing for mine will be a 5 speed though as she drinks fuel...

    Australian Compliance Plate

Ex Army HJ 47 I can confirm that my ex army HJ47 has does not have a compliance plate. I recently had this bought into question when I registered it in NSW, I was told by the maratime and roads technical department that it could be registered without one provided it had been registered in...

    Ex Aussie Army HJ47 Rebuild

It is the same one that you are talking about, but she wasn't as bad as the bloke thought. We replaced the head gasket and the engine is fine. I have stripped the cooking oil setup out of her and have been putting everything back in military configuration. I wish that I had an unplayed with...

    Ex Aussie Army HJ47 Rebuild

I Don't know about that yet, I have spent the last couple of months whipping her into shape for NSW rego. She was registered in VIC last. I am getting close. Thanks for saying so though.

    Ex Aussie Army HJ47 Rebuild

Nice Troopie, I have one of the ex army 47's as well and am in the process doing the same power steer conversion. I am not as far advanced as you are yet but today I put a HJ 60 fan on the dampener and this seems to have cured the lack of clearance of the lower pulley for me
