Looks very nice (as long as you dont mind engine swap) but a little out of my budget so wanted to share with the group:

Happily I found a project truck for my son and I to work on. Wont know how much of the powertrain work needs to be done til I get into it but I do know I need/want the following. Front seats, stock or close to stock with headrests (and I am 6'3" so in perfect world the extension bracket. Need...
I am looking for a father/son "project" for my sons first car. I had a great 78 some years ago that I was planning on keeping for him but had to sell for financial reasons. I am now looking for something that doesn't need much body work if any at all (any paint condition is fine). Ideally stock...
Have not been on here for some time but have started looking for another 40. Came across this ad in CL Houston and thought I would post up here. I assume they are parts rigs but still may be a good deal for the right person(s).

I am thinking about installing some driving lights on my 78 (The bumper will fit any size up to about 8") and I am amazed at some of the prices for the PIAA sets, like 350+ for the 550's. Anyone have any suggestions for an alternative brand or are these lights just flat out worth the extra cash...
Joe Myers
Its at Joe Myers Toyota, here is a link. Too much rhino lining, diamond plate and funky interior for me, at least at that price:

Off Road Unlimited
If you are on the West side I would call Tom at Off Road Unlimited (Hwy 6 and Westhemimer). He has done a lot of work on cruzers, including his own, and has always been very fair on price.
I tried the search function for suspension but everything seemed to apply to 80 and older 40's. I went to 4wheelparts and their kits only went up to 1980 models as well. The question I have is that I only want ot get about 2-4 inches of lift based on looks alone so I can run 33's (I might wheel...
The listing is gone, it was really nice. I would try and call him if you are interested, almost too nice for a trail rig. Had it been a 40 it would be in my garage now.
Don't know anything else about it but this looked really nice (you can see the pics if you go to Chron.com.

Just a thought, when I read the listing I thought it was for the chassis ONLY, not the running car. Changing the title might help.
Good luck and bump for the same truck as my DD.
