Hello all,
I have an FJ40, a motorcycle and a small 4 wheeler I need shipped from Mt. Vernon, Illinois to Missoula, Montana. All run and drive. Please let me know if you could assist and maybe we can work something out.
Thank you
This is a very mistreated 1974 FJ40 that I recently purchased. Dude had it listed for way too much money, but said he was motivated to sell. So I went to look, and ended up coming home with it. I currently have 3 other FJ40's in various stages of survival and felt obligated to try to save this...
I am having the same issue. I just bought a '74 FJ40 and just like you, I can turn left all day long but when turning right it will only turn about 1/3 of the way. This thing has been cobbled on so I'm sure it will need adjustments.
I just picked this up this weekend and the I.D. tag doesn't really have much other than a Serial number of 6314. Is there a website or method to decode the serial number since the year isn't present? I'd like to figure out the build year somehow if possible.
I have 2 FJ40's I need to part with, a 1969 and a 1972. My plans have changed and these 2 need to go. They still have a lot of good parts but I don't have the time to part them out, so I need to sell them complete (as much as they are). The Camo FJ does not have a title but the other does. My...
I have found Coolerman's website and it does have a ton of great info. I appreciate the heads up guys. I'll have to put back some time and soak it all in.
I have had problems with the dimmer switch, but trying to find another switch was pretty tough. I was able to get a couple from 2 FJ40s...
pb4ugo -- Thanks for the knowledge. I just now walked outside and tested them with the key on and they did in fact have power. I really appreciate that info and your time to respond.
Now I only have the headlight problem to figure out. Anyone have any ideas?
I have a 1971 FJ40 and my headlights have stopped working. All other parking/marker/tail lights are working, just not my headlights. I know absolutely nothing about the electrical aspect of vehicles. I thought to check and test the fuses and fuse block. I am using a test light and have power to...
Well, I pulled the trigger and bought it today. It pulled nice and smooth. Now I have to locate a pintle hitch set up and also do some research on possibly adding a reese style hitch. Now I'll probably just sell my 2 FJ40's I bought to turn one into an offroad trailer build.
His original asking price was $450, I said I could only do $250 with the tailgate, hitch, and possible new tires or FJ40 hub switch in mind. He then said $400 and I told him I could only as high as $300. His final offer walking away was $350 but then he checked his auction ticket where he paid...
