I've been reading through the thread by @dmaddox "1978 US Market Factory Restoration Thread." I'm both inspired and intimidated. I will likely do wire brush & rust treatment now, and then strip/treat/paint once the weather warms up.

Sorry to hear about your friend. If I had the indoor space, Winter would be the perfect time to pick up a project like this. Where in Idaho are you? (I grew up in Boise).

‘No vaccine’ is right … I fell hard when I bought mine. I’m blown away by the helpfulness of the Forum. Much appreciated.

What all did you have done?

I’m ok with doing a bit at a time, assuming I can get the rust under control. I’ll take the next year to do some smaller projects and figure out where I want to go with this truck … continue to take my time doing small projects, or find someone to do a full restoration.
