    Bad experience with CruiserParts

It will be when I get the panel. Still don’t have it.

    Bad experience with CruiserParts

Okay, so if I complain, only right to post if they make good. And, they they did come back and made a fair offer to fix it. They are going to sell me an aftermarket/new panel and pay shipping to me. They'll apply the credit from the broken one. I'll send back this one at my cost (cheaper because...

    Bad experience with CruiserParts

My story is a much smaller deal. Bought a tailgate panel carpet to put new carpet on (I was buying the panel). When I got it, they had old carpet still attached. So, I started removing it so I could glue-on the new carpet. One side was covered with carpet, the other with Dollar General white...

FJ60 sound proofing and carpet install

Okay, so I finally have the Noico and MLV down and am ready for carpet. I have a question, though. I didn't put much butyl or MLV under the driver's seat. I realize it's a bad place to do so from a noise standpoint. However, I want to put the jack and related parts back in, as stock and there is...

Back Seat Carpet Metal Trim : Grey or Black ?

@JramFJ (or anyone else) - Searching the the SEM site, the only Charcoal I found was this black metallic. Can you post a pic of the can you used or more detail on the product? Trim looks good. I have a carpet set needing to be installed! Thanks!

Old Style 5 Spd Shift Knob Available?

Sooo....13 years later. Just bought one from City Racer (links ^^^). Thanks for all the help and tips! It will look good with the new carpet I'm putting in this weekend (with Noico 80 mil and Luxury Liner Pro underneath).

FJ60 sound proofing and carpet install

@pumbaatx Thanks for the heads-up. Since you indicate only 54 sq ft needed, I decided to pull the trigger - just ordered the LLPro. Will use that over the Noico 80 mil on floor/cargo floor, Noico 80 mil in doors and maybe a little Noico red 150 mil in doors just to dampen any rattles if it looks...

FJ60 sound proofing and carpet install

@Skniper - Have been wondering same - moisture retention/trapping. And, yes, have read same - butyl in "patches" in key areas. It's just a weight. MLV is what needs to have 100% coverage so sound does not seep. Of course, back to your moisture comment. @anyone - any success with just butyl...

FJ60 sound proofing and carpet install

@here - Great thread. Thanks to all! @jjones - I also have grey interior and just bought the same carpet kit (but from @dnp). So, thanks, very inspirational. My seats are in similar (good) condition. I think. Been covered with seat covers from SOR for 10+ years! @pumbaatx - Sounds/looks like...

FJ60 sound proofing and carpet install

I looked at the Luxury Liner Pro product. It's expensive, though I'm sure effective. It's about $478 for 72 sq. ft, which is about what I understand is needed for an FJ60. Does that sound right? I am finding plenty of alternative brands for MLV. As I read through different sites, it appears it...

FJ60 sound proofing and carpet install

@pumbaatx - Thanks for the info. I'll check out those products. Did you install yourself or have someone do it. If the latter, who and were you satisfied? I'm also here in ATX.

FJ60 sound proofing and carpet install

How do you compare the Dynamat to the Butyl/foil back product? Ordering carpeting and need to decide what to do about sound deadening. Unlike the OP, I don't find my 60 to be quiet at all.

Thanks, but already bought a pair from Trail Tailor. Otherwise, would have been interested.
