it is at the machine shop now. i dont think it is all that common for them to crack. i know the risk of not rebuilding the lower part but i am trying to sell as well. so another 2k into the motor just sell is not really a choice for me at this point.
took mine to the machine shop today and the guy said they are pretty hard to fix if they are cracked.. I live in Oregon. any help would be great. it has 236k on her and the valve cover had a couple of inches worth of nasty in it.

mine is doing the exact same thing. you will be going along and then it stalls out like you just stop giving it gas. then a second later it picks back up and starts going like nothing ever happened. did you ever find out what it is
88 fj62. throwing an engine code 28 than 32. I read that 28 is an o2s by the cats. 32 is unclear to me, or are they something diff with the code combination? trying to sell her and she throws these codes today on the way to work. please help
hey is this the same type fan i have in my 88 62? its sits on the driverside innerfender and does nothing.i ran a hot lead and ground to the plug on the fan itself and fired right up.wondering where is the sensor for this and is it easy to replace?
