Dot 3 or dot4 will work and they can mix without consequence as long as you're not putting dot3 in a 4 system.
4 has a higher boiling point so it resists brake fade better than 3 does.

With a front locker it is not a good idea to keep the stock inner axle shaft , get some chromo shaft like rcv or longfield .
For the knuckle, disc and caliper, look for 79-84 fj40 or 60 series , those are vented ,the mini is not.

Have you converted to disc yet? If you used Toyota parts, the RCV will fit. If you still have drums or used non-Toyota brake parts, they use the old coats spline birfields. I’m pretty sure RCV is only available in fine spline birfields.
