Thanks for your reply. I've tried 2 aftermarket sensors and a second hand Toyota one, and they all do the same thing. All of the wiring diagrams show that the sensor earth runs to e1 on the Ecu, but mine runs to ox+, which seems right. I might have to check my wiring to the ecu I think.

After checking all of the wiring :/and testing all of the sensors, turns out that the oxy sensor had a bad earth (5 minute fix)... Running perfectly now. :) Thanks again for the advise fellas.

Took it to a mechanic and he told me there was nothing wrong with it mechanically... Cost me $400. I replaced the injectors and fixed an oxy sensor problem, and it ran really well (still a little smokey) for a day or two, until It developed another problem with the o2 sensor - see my other...

Got a '93 fzj80 and it's started playing up (again). It lopes terribly at idle and the throttle does nothing unless you put your foot all the way into it. This all started when I was washing it the other night, (not under the bonnet but under the wheel arches). It's not throwing any fault...

I'm from Melbourne too. Not sure on the legalities of having stuff hanging off your mirrors. I'll check it out.

I can take it to a mechanic, and I'm sure he'll find the valve clearances off their nut, worn valve stem seals and probably a burnt valve or two (or 24). I can fit a new head myself rather than pay a mechanic $2k+ to fix my head. I've pretty much replaced everything else. I don't know what to do...

Lol. I'll have wasted $1200 on on a head... I've replaced pretty much everything else mate. I just want this thing to run well again. :/
