After so many memorable experiences it's time to pass this great vehicle on to someone that can appreciate the great care given to this Cruiser. Purchased just a year after driven off the lot, it lived in Colorado until five years ago when we moved to California. Since then it has been under...
>>Unplug the connector and swap into a known-good location to see if it's the bulb or an issue with the power.<<
Great suggestion. The back light works in the front door, so it looks like the both back lights are not getting power.
Anything obvious I can do to remedy this?
Thanks. Door switches look clean and rubber is supple. I got the whole bulb assembly out, but can't figure out how to remove the bulb. Doesn't seem to be as simple as pulling on it. Suggestions?
The courtesy lights on both back doors are not working. I suppose it is possible both bulbs failed, but I wonder if it could be something else that affects both. First off, I'm not sure how to remove the cover to get to the bulb. There aren't any obvious indents that a screwdriver might fit...
I need to have the two front leather seats in my 1995 Land Cruiser redone. Does anyone have a recommendation? Willing to travel 50-100 miles if need be. Thanks.
Finally having some time to explore the Bay Area/Northern California/Gold Country in my '95 80 series, and looking for some recommendations. I'm looking to get away from the crowds to enjoy some nature and quiet, but not wanting technical stuff. Thanks for any recommendations!
My hood and hatch lift supports need to be replaced. I've tracked done OEM parts at a fair price, but I'm wondering if there are any issues with installing these myself. Any challenges that might point to having a mechanic do it?
An interesting idea. Is that something that comes from the dealer as OEM or is it third party? It seems interesting to consider vs the cost of the rear bumper replacement that can carry jerry cans. Would be worth comparing.
Thank you! I went to the Baja Designs site, but they don't list the Land Cruiser for their kits. I have an ARB bar like yours up front, so what units would you recommend?
Thanks. Considering that I'll probably be buried in mine, I'll go for OEM as well. ;-)
Actually, my wife says that she'll drive it after I'm gone because men always stop her when she drives it. Ha!
I'm looking to upgrade a few things on my 1995 80 series and looking for recommendations on:
• Hood and back window pneumatic pistons. The OEM units no longer hold them up.
• Auxiliary LED lights to mount on my ARB bars up front.
• A solution for carrying extra gas for emergencies.
Thanks for...
