1983 HJ47 RHD Troop Carrier, Diesel. Was heading from Alaska to Disney Land and broke down in Destruction Bay Canada for nearly a week. Decided it was time to replace the original 2H motor. Swapped to a Chevy 350 TBI V8 5.7. Stripped the Troopy down to bare metal frame and tore everything apart... further than I should have. Complete rebuild took me four years. It's been a great adventure learning to wrench and now I'm looking at discovering the Alaskan trails and making a few of my own.
