That was my original guess but subsequent research has lead me to think the high pressure or input port is the smaller, 14 mm one. Really wanted to see what others know.
Thank you for your interest and concerns… three bolts: two thru sleeves inside the frame. Third bolt thru a welded sleeve on the bottom of the frame. Plate does not appear to be welded to the frame.

I did find that on a Saginaw gearbox the low pressure...
I need to get a new power steering high pressure hose made and I am looking for some assistance in identifying the high pressure port on the gearbox. The gearbox came with my ‘78 FJ40 truck when I bought it in Sep 2009.
Others more knowledgeable will probably chime in but getting further away from the exhaust manifold would be essential… being out of the engine area, in front or below the radiator even better. Really looking for cooler air moving over the heat sink.
Read your build for the first-time last night... extraordinary, beautiful doesn't even come close to describing/recognizing your effort and the end results. I understand the love/hate slog of the rebuild. Mine is more for tooling around but getting there is tedious at best.
Should be able to make a new port into the cab on the firewall… not sure if your ‘80 FJ40 has the cabin air connection to the distributor or not but could copy that installation. Here’s a pic off MUD… the breather is circled in blue.
