Since there is room a 33x10.50 spare under there, I've always subscribed to the 5 tire rotation to get the most out of a set of tires - until one is not useable anymore in regular driving. That also makes sure the spare gets attention, and it's...
While I really enjoyed (and am proud of) the many hard miles we put on Paul the 62 over the last couple weeks, I’ll admit that one of the first things I did upon getting home was bust out Norman the 40 and did all my errand driving in her. She...

I am proud to be a part of Solid Axle Summit! I enjoy the people I get to work with, and I enjoy the people that get to join us. I like putting names and faces to mud-handles, though I do not remember them all, but I do try. We, directors and...
As always, my favorite event. My favorite people. Thankful to share these trails with some amazing people and countless laughs along the way. Even convinced my brother to join for a day. Is it August 2026 yet?!
Cheers
My tow rig is also my trail rig. Will have gone about 3,200 miles averaging terrible mpg and rarely reaching the speed limit when we finally roll home later today.
We enjoyed almost every minute.
Averaged over 17 miles per gallon over ~650 miles. Most of the time it could manage posted speed limits. I was not in a hurry. The journey IS the destination.

Sidney delivered. Bruno, in his 45, eyed a steep downhill we weren’t planning to tackle. Normally people winch up it in videos I’ve seen. Bruno? Nah. He bounces down, honks in triumph, spins around, and bounces back up...
The essence of this event is the egalitarian nature of being present and engaging with other humans. No AI; no BS; no valuations of “importance”…

Casey and team have made this into a...
Nah, just me…thank goodness. And here’s a picture 30 minutes after the flop of the real heroes of this flop. No broken glass, no broken mirrors & no dents. Scratches that will buff out…well that is if I ever buy any wax.🤔
And my friends got to...
Home at 3:00am on Sunday. Picked up a few along the way south of Lubbock (@bottombracket and Sean Hanko) and we all three drove into the midnight hours. Left for Houston Sunday afternoon and just got back. Enjoying a beer in the sweat box of...
Buddy approved!!
So cool.
I probably lucked out because Buddy's leash was a Frisbee, lol.
I love and appreciate the special bond only a dog can bring. I really love this. Thank you so much SAS leaders for making this happen!
I'm pretty sure I saw him heading East on 36 this afternoon, about 10 mins out of Hannibal, MO. I was heading back home from town in my FJ62 in the other lanes westbound. I waved and layed on the horn, but he must have been in the zone.
