Harness Source
"Ok, where can I get an upgrade harness for my 60 series? Slee doesn't make one, and the guy that did- no longer does.
Where's the new source?"
Kevin Rowland of Wagon Gear now has a "Guild" of associated vendors/fabricators. Seems like he us just starting out w/ it but the...
Entering into potential divorce territory, but how much $$$ for the entire package? Engine, frame, body, & misc. Partsz. Hit me w/ a pm to discuss further.
Thanks,
Nick
Steven,
In regards to your fenders I would highly recommend leaving the welds alone and keeping the assembly intact. I just made to mistake of pulling one apart & spent the better part of a day wrestling it back into alignment. For the other fender I am going to "rake" the old seam filler out...
Wow that looks cool! Making me seriously consider finding one to chop the top off. Always loved the top off feel of a 40, but really love the doors and space in the 55's. Thanks for keeping the thread going!
I have the Tuffy center console as well. That thing rocks. No AC so in the summertime all the windows are typically down. Nice to be able to throw everything in the console, lock it up, & leave it.
I need to add the floor support soon. If I come up w/ anything post-worthy I will throw it out...
I don't know about how they came from the factory, but mine never had one. I have had my foot slip off it when wet or snowy & I am trying to "teenage-driver proof" the truck.
Over the past few days my son & I changed the oil, swapped the oil filter, super-douched the K&N, & cleaned the carb. Today we swapped the plugs, put in a new fuel filter & installed a new rubber pad (the VW one that SOR sells) on the accelerator.
All super-simple maintenance items but what a...
Back on the road by next weekend
And you are welcome to drive it any time after that. Had a POR-15 extravaganza this weekend, finished my fender welds, and prepped final rocker replacement parts. Need to change the welder back to gas before I try any more body welding. Would also love a consult...
Great looking Pig
Amazing work and killer design. Love the way you are continuing the body lines w/ the cage. Any recent progress? I have the Corbeau bracket and seats in mine. Love them. If you put the rear heater back in brace the seat bracket as mine settled into the heater and cracked the...
I've seen it in person
and I am going to lobby for staying w/ the weathered purple. Maybe tune up the top of the fenders & definitely re-paint the roof. Your Pig has one of the coolest vintage car patinas (damn iPad corrected that to "Latinas" twice) I have ever seen.
Been thinking about our...
Looks great Tom
Still working on the post count! My odometer did the exact same thing. Just stopped working a couple of years ago. Probably only have 5k on it since then so no big deal.
Let me know when you are wroking on fluids etc... Need to do the same to mine and would love some practice.
Tom let me sit in it...
Hey All,
Tom and I had to meet to day on actual work related stuff. In true OCD Pig-Owner fashion we managed to spend more time talking about our trucks then any time we spent on the job. I might even be able to bill our client as we were waiting for her interior...
Looks good
I am in the middle of the same types of fixes. Absolute PITA but worth it in the long run. Still trying to figure out the best approach. Currently welding gas-less but thinking about switching over. Yours is a good looking Pig.
