Did you have the snorkel painted or just primed?

For $450, it shouldn't involve more work than a $140 Chinese snorkel. I know that using a silicone sealant would work, but the overlap has a massive gap. With a tighter fit, I'd be more comfortable applying some sealant, but I wouldn't trust a seal that wide with preventing water from entering...

I agree. I had seen the lenzdesign snorkel one night and showed my wife. I initially thought it was neat. I had a change of heart on liking it, but I found out the wife had ordered it for me for an early Father's day gift. I had to get myself excited again so I wouldn't seem ungrateful.

I ordered the Lenzdesign snorkel. It just arrived, and it looks like garbage. The inner tube that connects to the airbox and fender does not provide a water tight seal. Hell, it barely even fits. If you tighen it, there are large gaps around the tube. There are small cracks in the fiberglass...
