Thought I’d share because I thought it wouldn’t work. A simple 12” extender and a standard anti rattle u-bolt and plate fit perfectly and I’m able to carry load up my 1up bike mount- it’s extra solid. Works perfectly since I need distance from the spare tire anyways.
Unfortunately I never figured it out- ended up replacing my entire setup a few months after. If I ended up keeping the OME setup, I would have checked the bushing and washers. Drenching them with lubricant didn’t stop the sound.
Not to derail, but do you happen to know if Superior super flex arms offer extended length options like Jmacx, Delta and BH for 37s+? Doesn't seem to be stated on their product page. ;)
Can anyone tell me what holds the 2 front door belts/mouldings in place? Are there rivets or is it just glue/tape? I am planning to replace mine and want to plan accordingly ;)
TIA
Checking if anyone is interested in trading their 62 series for a built up and extremely well running 94 FZJ80 with fresh head work done by Torfab last year. Engine hums and idles perfectly and have driven it 1500 miles straight without stopping through some hot weather without skipping a beat...
@orangefarmer - I would seriously consider at least 5 1/4" for the rear doors, they can fit without modification and depending on speaker depth some speakers like Pioneers can fit 6.5" in the rear as well. You can repurpose the 4" intended for the rears in the dash as many do fit under there...
Is it size or total weight of the wheels+tires?
I'm currently running Nitto MT 315x75x16's on the stock alloy wheels and the total weight of each wheel is about 105lbs, going to be moving to 17" Volk TE37XT's which are 17lbs each, and BFG TA 37x12.5x17 and my new total weight per wheel will be...
I’m seeing a lot of conflicting information out there for spacers torque spec. Some go with 90ft lbs which is what spidertrax recommends. Some go with the FSM steel wheels spec at 108ft lbs. Which do you recommend?
I currently have my 94 at 90ft lbs at the spacers but not sure if it’s any...
I have currently have both a 94 and a 97. I much prefer the 97 for daily/long highway driving on the A343. Many of the pros/cons have been covered by previous points. Bullets on my personal simple thoughts between both:
- A343 is nice and quiet for longer drives, shift points fit daily driving...
@Dr Gil @effjay80 - it looks great and doesn’t stick out as far as I thought it would. Thank you both for you help, fully decided on the flat version :)
