1976 FJ40 based buggy. Drivetrain is original 2F with Howell Fuel injection throttle body. Computer is in glove box. SM420 4 speed with granny low 1st. Marlin ToyBox with 4.6 (4.7?) gears extra low gears in it. Mini truck transfer case with Longfield billet output shaft. Budbuilt skid plate/belly pan built for the doubler set up. (was designed for a mini-truck, modified to fit FJ40 framerails.) Rear output flange custom made for mini-truck CV joint. Twin stick shifter in t-case from Front Range Off Road.

I have a 1973 FJ40 project. F motor(Doesnt Leak OIL!!!!!!) at least in my garage. three speed tranny. Holley Carb and intake, downey header. Good shape overall, typical rust under tailgate. Needs gas tank and carb installed to run, have both. Many New parts, too many to list actually. Bought the truck sight unseen. When it arrived I found it was loaded with boxes and bags of parts from Spector and Toyota. Complete truck has everything just needs an owner who has the time to piece it together, 2 owner truck Colorado original truck, so rust is minimal. Call mike at 970 599 5146 asking $2000.

Hey, If anybody sees or has an FJ40 anywhere surrounding SE Michigan please let me know. I am trying to find something drivable 1976 on, preferably in the $4,000 to $6,000 range. If there is something nice that turns up I might be able to go more. I am hoping to find one that I can drive for a year or so before I dive into any real work. If you have something cross country and are willing to work with a shipper that might work to.

1966 fj40 for sale. Great "10 footer" - looks like new from 10 feet. No rust. Painted ~8 years ago -(Colorada vehicle). Recent work - interior totally redone - herculiner, new fully adjustable front buckets, covers on jump seats, seat belts. New BFGs all the way around, new brakes, hubs, undercoated. About as solid as they come. This is a true "10 footer" that looks as good as the pictures show it to be from 10 feet, but is not a show quality paint job. Well, I would love to find a good running FJ40 that could be used as a DD. Basically I am looking to spend no more than $4000, I need for it to be within driving distance (reasonable) of Indianapolis. I understand that I will not get anything that fantastic, I just want something I can drive and not have to spend money getting street ready. My only real requirements are a top other than a bikini top, doors and rear seats.

Nice original Fj40.
Very little rust as you can see from the pictures so it is going to be an easy cheap project compared to some. Solid tub and rear sill.
Runs and starts good but has a little hesitation on corners which is related to the carb.
Unsure on the mileage as it reads 41000 but the speedometer does not work but all of the other gauges work great! New speedometer cable included.
Newer axles out of a 1977 FJ40
New Tie Rod ends.
New disc brakes on all four corners.
New 1" over greaseable anti-inversion 4+ shackles
New U-Bolt Flip kit.

I have a 74 FJ40 with a chevy 350 motor, stock 4 speed tranny, spring over on 35in mud terrains, disc brakes up front, hard top with doors, bikini top with half doors, all accessories are still there and seem to work ok. Heater valve is stuck open tho so that needs played with to loosen it up and shut off. Still has the rear heater hooked up too! Dash lights inside light up still as well. It has a Con-fer tool box under the rear bench seat, aftermarket radio and speakers, roll cage, warn winch up front. This Cruiser has surface rust only! NO CANCER EATING THROUGH!!! It runs good and drives ok (It needs power steering) other than that it drives fine! Original paint with body in pretty good condition for not being touched up! Mostly just...

I'm looking for my first Cruiser and would like a Diesel BJ42 or BJ40. I'm located in Vancouver Canada. I've got about 5K and could possibly come up with another couple grand for a real "nice" truck (I know 7K won't buy me a show stopper!)
I've got a truck and trailer and am limited to basically Oregon, Washinton, BC and Alberta.
I'm open to anything, even a rusted out heap that'll be a long term project. I'd prefer a running one but I'll take what I can get!

Selling my FJ40. Its 1976 all stock besides the lift springs and wheels and tires. Has heavy duty power steering setup also. I have two sets of tires and wheels, take your pick. Either the 34 trxus or 35 groundhawgs.
The FJ runs like a top and is very mechanically sound. Has 82,450 original miles. It has the straight 6 with 4 speed tranny. Has ambulance doors in the back with the jump seats. The tub is aluminum so no rust there but there is some rust on the doors and top. Not too bad but would need to be addressed if you are wanting to make this a show cruiser. Also comes with a tow bar.

67 FJ40 for sale, original as far as I can tell with the exeption being the rear jump seats which are blue instead of red. There is a little rust around the rear tub & behind the doors. Body is mostly straight, repaired fiberglass on roof but needs sanded down & painted, hood is painted and had plans to paint whole thing but lost ambition to finish.
