1974 FJ40 LandCruiser $9000 SOLD
Engine is 1978 2F rebuilt from Man-a-Fre, with cam and hi-compression pistons. About 1000 miles on engine. Turbo City EFI (GM TBI). DUI HEI distributor. New clutch/pressure plate/throw out and pilot bearings. Alum. radiator. Fluid heat riser. High Torque starter. All done at engine swap.
SM420 transmission (7.05:1 1st gear) AA adaptor to Xfer case. Marlin Crawler gears in Xfer case (3.64:1 low range). Disk parking brake. Front shaft large tube with 1350 joints. Net result 105:1 crawl ratio.
Front axle is 1979 (disk brakes) with ARB, factory 4:11 ratio. Upgraded Birfields. Rear has Detroit Locker.
Front springs Rancho, rear springs Skyjacker, all greasable pins, Rancho RS5000 shocks.

For Sale: 1977 FJ-40, this Cruiser has been a project that I lost interest in, actually bought a FJC. Bought it in 2002 drove it till 2006 then tore down to paint. the link to pictures show you how far I didn't get. All parts are bagged and marked. Fj has 2.5 inch Rancho springs and 31" BFG A/T. Stock 2F, Stock tranney and transfer all work well, still drive it around property to keep things moving. Hello, I have a Smog exempt FJ40 Cruiser for sale. It is Registered as a 72 but has a 76 body on it! It is in good running and driving condition and is my current daily driver. It is white and black and has a Chevy 350 motor, 4wheel disc brakes, Power steering, Dual gas tanks, and a small lift on almost new 33in Goodyear MTR's. I do not have a hard top or doors for it but the bikini top and half doors are in great condition! the cruiser has a little rust under the rear driver ambulance door but nothing major on the rest of it. Looking to buy FJ 40, would prefer one that is running and driveable, I can not afford a restored one so I will save time by letting you know that up front ,on the other hand I do not want a rolling chasis either, somewhere in between is what I need. Prefer one with a hard top. You guys know what I mean, I know it will require work I just want a good starter. 295 nitto terragrapplers, lt package with all the options except sunroof. Bose, quad captains, leather, etc. truck has 208k but runs flawless and is very tight. has the hours of the truck with much less mileage. a doctor owned it before me and kept it in the road for work. I am asking 8900 for the suburban. It pulls great and is very strong. It has the 6.0 vortec.

i've had this rig for a couple of years now, and it has a story..
i needed to replace or rebuild the engine and get some work done to the carb.
soo i got the carb rebuilt and i set up a time to reman my engine. unfortunately, it didn't have a chance to make it to the shop!!! i had the motor on the stand next to my garage waiting to go and boom, somebody heisted it!!
someone picked that big ass thing up and stole it!!! stand and all!!!! i hope they popped a nut!!!
i'm still peaved!! i tried every scrap yard in a ten mile radius and no damn clues:(.. it's gone, along with my bell housing!
soo with that said this has changed my plans quite a bit!!

I have a rolling chassis that has been mainly used for parts, it is pretty corroded, but if you are into a big project this is for you! No engine, or tranny or transfer case.
