Just discovered this thread... Love your 40! The color in particular is fantastic. This darker shade of tan just suits the rig.

Hey Erik, what headlights did you say you have? I still have the original headlights on mine... They don't quite cut it.

I got my Lifetime LED from Steve @Southeast Overland. Although the circa 1800's incandescent look is classic to oncoming traffic, being able to "see @ be seen" is even better. They are effectively bolt in, plug in and go.

So, during 2015-2016, I had Glenn @lextechautomotive do a MAJOR update : Disk front brake install & full knuckles rebuild, convert to 3.73 R&P for better fuel economy / highway speed….then I installed an @lcwizard dual swingout rear bumper, learned jow to rebuild a Weber Carb, check and set valves, added a mountain bike rack to the front bumper, went on my FIRST wheeling trip and upgraded the headlights…

Also during 2015, I replaced the cowl drain tubes - they were green garden hose, LOL, and had some custom work done by a local fab shop. The made a ‘removable’ false full roll cage cross bar - so we could use a full family bikini top and converted a set of doors to half doors. I wanted a smooth top to the door, and a ‘roll’ at the A-pillar that would match the curve of the hood. This is one of my favorite and most complimented mods.

We wheeled again…. Over The Mountain Trip, started attending HAMOMs (Help A Member On Mud (or Of the Month), took a day trip with the windshield down…. A bought a second motor for the future…

2016 was a buying and building (but not always installing) year…. Aux fuel tank w/aluminum skid plate, some custom Silicone cups for the LowCountry LandCruisers group, bought a lot to build our (current) home on - and had to use the 40 to pull some dead wood around - because… it could, a couple more TLC trips, learned about the Bezel Police,
