Love the color palette of the garage.
Mrs. Rednexus has a knack for picking colors and themes. She picked every color/material/style inside and outside of the house and nailed all of them. Considering the dark/olive/Cypress/myrtle green color is on our house, shop, and my GX we even got silicone wedding bands in the same color too!

Latest side project - a rotisserie for easier deck/hand railing building (as I literally have around 100+ feet more to build this year). I built around ~60 feet of railings in '24 and '25 using a simple jig on my welding table. They turned out good, but the railing had to be removed from the jig after tacking for finish welding and it was super easy to bump the rod holders in between panels. Now I can lock down the rod holders, rotate the jig 360 degrees, and complete all but the 4 exterior corner welds in the jig. Also this was a PITA to get square and aligned welding....still learning to mitigate the effects of warping as I weld.

Blast from the past - how I was building panels is below.

The Aussie-made King Fab snorkel finally arrived. It beat my US-based order of a Hefty Fab TC skid (not happy about poor communication from that vendor) despite the order being made several weeks later.

Overall the quality appears excellent. The welds look great, as do the grinding and powdercoating. I'll need to make some modifications to the aFe cold intake to accept this, and potentially to an inner fender brace I understand the GX has but the Prado 120 (which this is designed for) does not. The tubing does neck down from 4" to 3" inside the fender, which will cause a slight restriction, but it's probably unavoidable given how cramped that area is.

Got the railings ground up this AM, and holes drilled in the top for the wooden handrail. I used the little mini belt sander to remove weld splatter beads. I'll run these off to blasting and powdercoating next week.

After that I swept up the shop floor before moving on to the next project. It's amazing how much grinding dust can be created with 24' of railings. I ground every joint before welding and then ground down the exterior welds after I was finished. I may start wearing a half-face respirator when griding as this can't be good for the lungs....

This is how humid it is today. Despite only being 75F or so it's been raining for days. It's so bad it caused grinding dust to flash rust on my arm due to the sweat!

And the next project. DIY rear swingout kit form Ascend Fabrications. I continue to be impressed by the overall quality of this kit and the instructions.

Got the swingout mostly built. Unfortunately I welded up the latch backwards so I reached out to Ascend to see if they'll ship me those tiny pieces. Bumpers will probably be done after the 4th :).
