Up for sale is a 73 55 in all its former glory. Plenty of rust (see pics) however the frame is surface rust only and shows no signs of weak points anywhere. Drivers side floor board was patched poorly by PO, it does the job. Door seals need work and most of the bottoms of the four doors have fixable rust. Tail gait needs to be replaced and the rear window in manual now, was working last summer. I bought this rig around a year ago. I purchased it in South Dokota and drove it back; a 1000 mile trip. The cruiser did fine the whole way, in sub 0 temps. Since the purchase it has been my daily driver (looking at the pics i know this may be hard to believe, trust me i get plenty of **** from my co-workers). This pig has the F engine and 3 on the floor. As of lately i have been fighting timing, firering and carb issues and can't drive it daily hence the sale. I don't have time to spend under the hood right now. Miles on the engine are unknown however when it was running just a few short weeks ago the engine had plenty of power and pull. The transfer case works just fine, however i have used it only a few times. All glass is good except the front windshield has a small crack on the drivers side. I had this rig registered in MO as a historic vehicle and because of this it never had to pass an inspection. If you have any questions or want specific pictures pm me or emial me.

Currently not driving, it will run but seems to be firering when ever it wants and sometimes will not start at all.

On top of not having the time to fix it the wife said if i want to buy another dd i had to sell this first.

Asking 1000 obo

trade pig for 40 project

i want to do something with this but i think a 40 build will be cheaper so anyone willing to trade a dead/project 40?

I'm gana be honest man, I think the rust is scaring people away

yep, the rust is scary..........fixable but a heck of a lot of work, you gotta love pigs to take this one on; it would be a shame for it not to be restored/repaired; but still a lot of work.....I know; am trying to make one out of two abandoned projects...........others have rebuilt worse...cruiser-guys build inspired me along with scorcher's trollhole's eventhoughs and k9crazy's but you will never get out what you put into it.........just alot of personal satisfaction........might be better off just keeping it and restoring rather than taking on a 40 project..which will probably be in a lot worse shape than this piggy for the same price range........it was your daily driver IIRC.........just my my 0.02.

Lou what is IIRC? I really do love the pigs, and yes the rust is even scaring me away. I just know that it is much harder to weld, do body work and find good used pig body parts than it would be to buy used 40 body parts. My true problem is i have too many projects as is and it bothers me just to have it setting around. I would like to fix it quick so my co-workers would quit pokin the pig, not that i care, i do still drive it. Well the way this has been going it looks like i have no choice, its not going to a scrap yard and no one will trade or buy it so i will just set on it until i have the time to do it right.

Oh

IIRC if i remember correctly, sorry i got it.

Man, I would love that truck for the frame.....but the big bad border gaurds and $1.30 @ litre say it ain't happenin :frown:

I'm about 3 hours west of blong in Kansas City, i have a rust free frame.. If you make the trek, it's yours and you have a place to stay the night... but missouri is a few days away from you.

toyotology, you are the man:cheers:, BUT, that's about way too far for me. Probably take me near a week to get there, then have to go thru customs,( nowhere on this planet will you encounter more unfriendly people than Canadian customs ) so just in fuel for my 84 Chevy 3/4t pullin my trailer, would be........hmmmm....... plus hotel/motel.....plus food and ....$$$$$$$$$$$, well I DO appreciate the offer, but hafta pass.

One last try $450+

Ok guys i have a guy offering me 450 cash. If someone here can beat that by the end of the day monday let me know. Otherwise i'm letting it go for 450.

Current status: Not running, will need to be trailored.

Don't let it go for that dude. Try and at least get 600 out of it.
