I've got my Lj71 back. My customer can't afford to do his resto. This has a front clip that looks like it belongs on a train. The body tub area and doors are the same as a RHD 70. The body and doors are rust free and perfect. The frame has coil sprung axles and is solid.
most of the LJ71 parts are still available
Bare door shells $250 ea
bare tub (with W.S. glass) $1500

I just bought a batch of 70 series parts
rolling chassis with factory axles, 5 spd, 3B, PS and driveshafts
a few good body parts
suspension seats
full LHD dash set up
some other interior and body bits
The parts are not all here so I don't have a full list until the last batch of parts show up
call or email for pricing. The frame looked good in the pics but I want to inspect it when it shows up

ya, I thought about bolting this all together but I would sooner work on my FJ40 V8 wheeler

or you could stop being a slcker and bolt an fj40 body to the 71 frame:D

already thought about it but NO

the timing was perfect. I bought the 70 parts the sameday the LJ71 ended up being returned.
someone must want a rust free tub and doors

The customer that had the LJ71 also has a complete running OME sprung 70 with rust. He's looking at selling it as well. I'll get some pics of it and a price if anyone is interested in it

The 70 frame should be here Friday afternoon

the frame is solid, the fuel tank has 6 months of use, the rad has 4 months of use, two of the 235/75r15 hankooks have 4 months of use on them, motor trans etc have 313,000ish on them, most electrical is still there and is 24volts, suspension front seats are in good shape, rear seat looks good, pass side door with some marks, hood is solid and dent free, all dash pieces in good shape

TTT

the motor run test and compression are great. Anyone with money??

I got two bucks burning a hole in my pocket and can take it off your hands:hillbilly:

$2 will get you 12 old chrome wheels nuts or 4 brand new valve stems. either is fine with me

I'll see if i need some for the new truck I'm gonna be buying, but I don't think so, since I am pretty sure the truck is cherry.

if it cost more than $2000 it had better be perfect with zero rust, lots of rubber depth, and decent paint, and maybe a turbo. If not, run away!!!

Its got all that and more!

at least you have a good sence of humor. Next time you see it you will be plesently surprised;)

I hope so. I am pretty pumped and can't wait, already have visions of addaleafs and 38's dancing in my head:hillbilly:

"JDMs Suck":flipoff2:

I'm not really anti JDM, I think they're good trucks, and I won't say I'll never own one, but personally I think they are better for drive train transplants (hell my work truck build has one) and LHD conversion candidates. And for the record I do support the JDM cause, the more in Canada the better.
Cheers,
Deny
