I've got a 96 LX450 that has an interesting issue... The passenger seat won't move forward or backward and it would seem that the issue is it binding on the rails.
When I look under the seat I can see the long bolt turning on the right side (closest to the door) but on the left side it's not moving at all. The motor(s) do seem to work and the recline feature still works fine too. It's just that left side bolt that doesn't turn causing the seat to advance unevenly.
I have one of those cheapo collapsable cupholders installed on the right side of the console that does rub against the left side of the passenger seat when you advance it all the way forward.
Do you guys think the repeated extra strain on the the left side due to the cupholder stripped the gears? Is there a way to fix this without just buying a new seat--that's not really an option due to $$$ and getting married in just a month has my finances locked down even further!
