I got a new belt installed recently because the AC pulley was wobbly and cut my other belt. After installing the new belt it keeps slipping off the tensioner pulley about an 1/8" and then snapping back. It makes a crazy noise and after about 2-3 mins it doesn't happen anymore. Also it only seems to happen on cold morning starts.

Anyone have any ideas? It is a longer belt made for the superchargers, but the belt is direct OEM from the dealer.

That's been replaced twice, once from NAPA, once from dealer, I've replaced several of the pulleys now, none are moving laterally, only spin properly.

^ I think you are on to something!

You should remove the SC, send it to me and I will "dispose of it" for you.:)

On a serious note though, did this start after that SC install? Maybe there is an install issue. I read somewhere there are two belt lengths.

No SC was installed and got about 4k miles on it, this only happened once it got cold this winter.

Pulleys are all fine, going to try a slightly longer belt. Current belt just barely fits over the tensioner.

Looks like the culprit was an extra pulley just above the AC pulley pushing down. Hopefully removing that resolves the issue.
