I'm sure this has been asked, but Mud-search is not my friend. I'm going in and I need to get that pulley off. I can make a tool to hold the pulley, the toughest part is figuring out what threads the holes in the pulley used to have before seven Michigan winters. Any other ways to hold the pulley? I've used the bump-start on most of my vehicles, prefer a more civilized method if available.

I got one of those tools that are for the job. It did not thread into pulley, but had different size pins that threaded into tool. Photo shows it being used with torque wench to tighten bolt. With a c-clamp and a ratchet strap it's a one person job.
Will come back and edit this with brand of tool, but think you can make one pretty easily.

I made this tool for the crank pulley on my 80s, planning on adapting it for the 100, maybe it'll be close.

Fortunately my 1/2" IR impact removed the crank bolt without issue.

Impact wrench loosened crank pulley bolt quite handily on mine.

(Impact wrench also torqued it back on, but that's something I'd warn as "at your own risk". :)

I have a wimpy impact wrench, but I'll give it a try. I'll still need to hold the pulley for proper torqueing, my impact wrench is unlikely to get what I need. I usually put low-strength threadlocker on all my threaded fasteners that don't get higher strength, will have to think about what that does to torque.
