$3000 - Legal import from Canada - 1987 HJ60 with strong 2H Diesel and good 5 speed transmission. Four-wheel drive works great. Currently located in Olympia, WA. Good donor for your conversion project.

It runs and drives nicely and is licensed in WA (tabs just expired - needs Emissions test and I haven't had time to bring it up to Seattle where it is registered - it has passed emissions twice before in WA). I have the paperwork from the importation process.

Frame and body are rusty and rusting through. Frame has been patched in a few places. Rust holes in roof along gutter. Front end damage on drivers side. Interior is ok - missing rear drivers side panel - front passenger seat not like the others. Dash pad has some minor issues, mostly a couple of the holes on the speaker perforation are cracking.

Missing stock air cleaner canister (have cone type air cleaner on there right now). It looks like it has a BJ radiator. The rig will make a great donor vehicle for your diesel conversion. I had planned to put the running gear in a 66 FJ40, but a straight swap over to a 60 ought to be great too.

Forgot to photo frame, but it is rusty and has holes and patches from the middle to the back, so dropping a new body on is probably not a good option. It is priced much better than a half cut, and you get some good axles and driveline and all the wiring and whatever else you want - all glass other than windshield is good - other good parts you could probably use or sell.

YouTube videos of truck at idle. Took one while reving the engine, but somehow didn't record right. Will try again another day. It was a bit breezy, so a bit of wind noise at the start.

I looked in some of the paper work and the rig had 150,00 KM at an emissions test in 2005. When I got it in 2008 it had 156,xxx KM - I took out the KM speedo and put in a USA spec gage - I put about 5000 or less on it in the past 3 years. I just put the KM gage back in.

Also remembered that the engine has a legal import sticker as well, so should simplify things for your conversion. Sorry for the blurry photos, but should give the gist of the idea.

Looks like you have a desirable truck for sale, but I think your price is a little north for the truck and the economy. For comparison there is another HJ60 that is in better shape than this one for about $1100 less on here. I suggest adjusting your price if you want to sell anytime soon. Obviously this is just my opinion so take that for what it's worth.

I don't think that your price is unfair either, but I have been following your ad and was kind of surprised that no one even responded. After thinking about it, it is probably because you are so close to B.C. where these trucks are a little more available and because as described the truck is basically good for parts. I'm not trying to dog on what you have going, I'd love to get my hands on that drive train. Only trying to offer helpful advice.

Thanks for chiming in guys - I was wondering if anyone would. I haven't seen too many in the States for sale, it seems like the lower priced ones are all in Ontario right now, which seems to be the thing everyone laments about around here - so here's someone's chance for one that is on the West Coast and in the USA legally. Lowered price to $3000 - selling tires separately or putting on another project. Now has stock rims and mismatched tires that would still get you home (fronts are matching 235/70R15s and rears are matching 31x10.50R15s). Shot some video of it running - hope to get that up this weekend someplace.

SeaWACR - After combing over the pictures it looks like you are part owner of a Toyota factory. I counted four 60's and I can't really tell but maybe that is some kind of a 40 series up next to your shop?

The silver 60 looks good, but I really dig on that green one.

Good luck with the sale.

Some photos of the tires now on the rig. Also dash shot while idling. It does not have a turbo - not sure why the turbo RPM gauge.

proff, my brother is a mechanic and specializes in Land Cruisers (but works on most vehicles). The green 60 is gone but the silver one will be coming up for sale soon.

Just curious, why does the tachometer have a turbo light?

Can only think the tach came from a different vehicle, JDM or ??
