"Climbs Like a Goat"
1950 Willys Overland CJ3A Jeep
Need to sell my old jeep so I can finish my 80 series build...
Runs and Drives like a 60 Yr Old JEEP!
Original L134 Engine
New Carb, New Fuel Pump, 12V converted, Alternator, New Battery
Original 3 Speed Manual, T18 transfer case (2 stick)
New Clutch Kit, Flywheel resurfaced, and Ring Gear
New Gas Tank, Fuel Line, Filters
Original Foot Switch Starter
Roll Cage, 2k winch (jeep only weighs 2500lb)
~30" Mud Terrains, Steel Wheels, Hi LIft Jack (oldschool rebuild), Bikini Top
Known Issues:
Starter Motor has a hard time engaging, even with the new ring gear, could use a starter rebuild, or a new high torque starter installed, however if you know how to start it, it works fine
Paint, pics are not good, but paint is bad, looks like it was original dark red, then blue, now black, "weathered"black. Has done a decent job protecting steel.
Rust, not too bad, New Mexico vehicle, so solid frame, floors intact, rear intact, but warped and a few holes.
Small amount of play in wheel bearings, drive shafts, and tranny, not horrible for a 60 year old, but should be attended to. Transmission pops out of 2nd gear on bumpy roads, so I have to hold it in gear, I alter my driving, and spend a lot of time in 3low on the trail.
A capable jeep that is a lot of fun to drive, or a jumping point for a great original restoration, own that old jeep that you have always wanted... $3500

A very, very sad day.
