Tons accomplished at tonight's meeting!

We have 3 trips on the calendar for this up coming season. 2 small weekend trips and 1 weeklong trip.

June 1-3 Tony will be leading us thru central Minnesota "part 1" from Nisswa thru Walker and finishing around Black Duck
August 11-18 Dan will be leading us from the Badlands thru the Black Hills of South Dakota finishing at Devil's Tower
September 14-16 Rich will lead us on the remainder, picking up where the last trip left off, of our central Minnesota "part 2" to the Arrowhead of Minnesota trip.
Next Meeting:
Feb 13th. Look forward to Monthly meetings, second tuesday of the month (except this next one due to the Valentines day issue) I don't think the misses will appreciate hanging out with us as V-Day date. One topic is Midwest Overland Society logo design, come with ideas. Decals to be made once the design is finalized.

The weekend trips will start Friday night at a camp, allowing some members to get there early but if you can't escape work til later Friday, we'll still be there when you roll in. We will be headed home Sunday. We are also, hopefully, going to be mapping these trails and providing condition reports to some state agencies to assist in an initiative to create a better trail system for all users.

The SoDak trip will be a full week to 9 days, 2 of those being big interstate travel days.

Just to clarify, these trips are not "guided trips" you will be responsible for yourself and your own gear. No one will make your bed and you may be asked to plan/prepare a dinner. Families are welcome, no better time to teach the youth how to responsibly travel and live with nature. Feel free to bring along alcohol on these trips. Tread Lightly principles will be followed as well as laws and regulations of the lands we are traveling thru. These trips will not be planned to break your vehicle or your spirit, but orchestrated to get all of us out there to have a good time and see some country that many others may never get to see or accomplish. We will most likely have a wide range of experience from novice 4wheelers to seasoned rock crawlers to experienced overlanders to Dual Sporters.

If you would like to join any of these trips, throw the dates on your calendar and contact the Trip Leaders to register Contact me and I will put you on our mailing list and in touch with our trip leaders. We are currently in the process of putting together an email group.

The Trip Leaders are responsible for coordination of the trips. They will be managing the development of routes, campsite location, food planning, required vehicle equipment, meeting location, etc. If you would like to be involved with the planning of these trips, let the trip leaders know, they will need your help to square it all away.

As always, feel free to contact me with questions.

Sounds interesting! Would have liked to make it to the meeting but had to work.

Will definitely follow along with hopes of joining on a trip or two.

Alan
Sounds great Alan. I'm sure you may have some relative insight on the Central Mn trips.

Burns,

The best way to get more info is to join the email list or to come to a meeting. Send me an email to info at expeditionops.com with your email address to be added to the list or the next meeting is Feb. 13th at Expedition Ops shop.
