Visiting Sedona, AZ 10/7 to 10/9

Hello -

Some of us from High Desert Cruisers (based in Albuquerque, NM) will be visiting the Sedona, Arizona area and hope to do some wheeling on Friday 10/7 through Sunday 10/9.

I was hoping for some recommendations for trails to run, and/or any locals that would like to go along with us, that could be even better.

I have the Charles Wells book for Arizona trails, so that could be helpful. But personal experience would be even better.

I am part of the aztlca and we will be doing the annual crown king chili cook off on Saturday October 8th. Crown king is a mining town that is about an hour south of sedona. What does your schedule look like when you are in town.

We take off out of north Phoenix around 8:30 am and have about a four to five hour climb from the desert floor up into the pine top of crown king. Let me know if you are interested.

Hello and thanks for your response. Right now our schedule is pretty open. There are only three confirmed rigs and I think we could be interested in joining up with you at some point if it's not too much trouble. Maybe we could try to meet up with you where you take off from the pavement?

I had a similar note from mclement85308 from Glendale asking if we were interested in joining you guys over on the AZ TLCA forum. If you don't mind, maybe we should take the discussion over there, so it's all happening in one place. But thanks again for keeping us posted.
