Lots of threads about using Durabak or Line-X as an exterior paint. Has anybody ever used or considered Zolatone? Coarse texture, good rust preventative, comes in the standard (splatter color) or smooth. Cant really roll it on, has to be sprayed but it is an alternative. Zolatone

That's what went in the bed of my '90 Chevy truck. I had a good buddy in Helena who was the dealer for Zolatone and did it for the cost of the materials. I was happy with it's durability, but not so much the slip resistance. Lots of wet sanding by hand for prep. You can't shake Zolatone, but have to stir just above the beads to swirl them up into the liquid prior to application. IIRC, it took a good 30 minutes or better to get it stirred up correctly. Hope that helps.

I think the best thing I've ever had was Rhinoliner in a pickup bed.

Never used Rhino but I had good luck with Line X in a J&*p tub. PO of my 55 painted part of the exterior with zolatone anout 14 years ago; it has lasted fairly well, but I am not sure that I like the effect. I looked at the zolatone websit and there are a bunch of colors, so....maybe.
