You'll want to use it on the corners and arch on the oil pan, both sides of the cork. I also used it on the lower half of the side cover -

Do you know much about Isuzu diesels? 4B1T?You probably know this but cityracer has the stock 16” but they aren’t cheap.
By the way I’m down in Franklin TN. I also have a sprung over pig. My 14 and I are working on getting the 2f going but one day it might be getting a Isuzu diesel for the fun of it. If you have the pig calendar there is a picture of him working on it sitting in the engine bay. Enjoying your build!
Wow, sorry to hear about your Mom...Yeah, I'm fully aware of cityracers 16" wheels. They are exactly right.
The other option I've found are the 16" trailer wheels with the 3.65" hub holes that need to be hogged out to work.
Franklin seems to collect an inordinate amount of vintage Land Cruisers, that's for sure.
I was heading down there today to play with @Tennessee80 s FJ40 project, but my mom passed away last night, so need to head back to Iowa to settle affairs and attend a funeral, instead.
Wow, sounds like a real roller coaster!So.... Day One of settling mom's affairs, met with lawyer.
Spoiler: You know the thing where I was struggling with choosing between Zeke and an FJ40 to be named later? Well... I no longer have to consider that kind of "either/or" decision. I grew up poor as a church mouse. Have no idea dad and mom had managed to recover from the two bankruptcies to the extent they had.
I just might be in the market for a decent FJ40 soon.... You know, to go along with my FJ55.
Yeah. We miss her, but she went out on her own terms. Hope I go ina similar fashion.Wow, sorry to hear about your Mom...
Yeah. Grew up so dirt poor I am having a hard time reconciling it. We're going to use this largesse to memorialize mom and help bless others.Wow, sounds like a real roller coaster!
I'd think I would need a 2.75" spring under version.![]()
Toyota Spring Over Axle Perch Pair, 3.0" Axle Tube 2.5" Wide
Toyota Spring Over Axle Perch Pair, 3.0" Axle Tube 2.5" Wide This is one of our fairly basic items, but it isn't quite that basic. Anyway, here's what you want to know. These are .25" (1/4) HR P&O Steel Plate, CNC Laser Cut and then Folded on a 290 ton CNC Brake to final size. Length is 8.0" to...www.ruffstuffspecialties.com
Something like these might work if you can't salvage yours, I'd try first though.
Never mind. Nonsensical comment deleted.I'd think I would need a 2.75" spring under version.
What size is an FJ55 axle tube? I'm told they are 80mm, so the 3 inchers should need to be hogged out a bit to work.
My new front axle housing comes with SUA perches already installed, so only need to do rears.I used 2-1/2” x1/4” square tubing 4” long. Cut holes with a 3-1/4” hole saw. Spring pack center bolt holes 9/16”. Drilled three of them spaced 1” apart to make axle centering adjustability. These were for FJ60 axles. The rear axle is easy to make low profile perches for. The front axle is tricky because the right perch rides halfway into the banjo.
Best way I can figure to do the front is to determine where the perch needs to be on the right side and determine the height, then match that height on the left.
Rocket surgery? No.
Pain in the ass? Slightly.
Fun because it’s a Cruiser related project?
Abso-frickin-lutely!

Looking further, I found a 3 1/4 set of SUA on the same website.I'm not sure, but they have them larger for the 60 axle.
EDIT...those might be for spring over...
