I'm in tghe middle of an oil change and noticed the filter the dealer gave me is the yzzb5. Is this the right one? Someone else asked this before (yes I searched) but there was not a definitive answer, just a comment about it being a cheap replacement (for 2004 filter??).

Yes, a 90915-YZZB5 will work just fine, it is replaced by the current part# of 90915-YZZD3

thanks sin, actually, it was the YZZD3 I just put on...too many letters to keep track of ;-)

Not to bust your chop, which one really you got from the dealer? Is YZZB5 or YZZD3? If you get YZZB5, I would like to know which dealership you got them from. If you got YZZD3, don't worry about it and I don't want to know. Thanks.

It was the D3 as I said. Don't know why I typed B5....I guess I was too tired after the kart racing this morning :)

DOG,

I think I know where you are going with the B-5 / D3 thing.....It would be interesting to know who and why some places are carrying different or outdated #s...

heck, there are still some 15600-41010`s in stock....I bet that would freak out a "newer tech" on a 100 .....lol....

It seems that the country of origin co-incides with part # changes...where will the next filters be made...Syberia or......???

One thing I noticed was that this D3 filter's box has no printed list of engine family applications like all my other oil filter boxes do.

if it fits I have been told you can run a bigger filter like 2F's use, say a WIX 51515, I haven't treid to see if it fits, but it will screw on ;)
