In my 62 how would you go about putting a third seat that would be tolerable to sit in and be removable fairly easily? Wouldn't it put people's heads right up against the headliner? :hhmm: :meh: Sometimes wish I had seating for at least one more or two if possible.

Buy an 80

Oh Ty, should have known....Nothing would make me trade in my Classic 60 series cruiser looks for a Bubble-mobile. Even if I have to bypass the rough stuff. Until I go SOA and 35's. I'll get there. Guess a bean bag chair in the back will suffice. Don't think I'll be able to rig a seatbelt set up for it. Anyway, can't even afford gas to put in it right now so I really don't even know why I'm bothering asking. :meh::hillbilly:

Hit the junkyard man... A friend had one in his 60, liked it for the kids but it was an aftermarket unit. I fit a 6'3" father in law in the back, it might have been in a stadium chair.. He complained a bit after ward.
Check out the dodge raider/mitsubishi montero, suziki suv's, samurai or tracker stuff- you might call hawk or trail tough..

Okee dokee...

The second row out of a sami would be easy enough. They are a single unit and fold up nice and small. You could easily fit two medium sized kids on one of those seats and fold it out of the way when you don't need it.

Now hear This...!!! I made fun of Ty's cruiser last night........and today my tranny, which is full of fluid, is slipping and doing all kinds of weird chit! I should have never said anything. I'm already slipping into a deep depression. I don't drink anymore. I don't know what to do- I'm sorry Ty, I didn't mean what I said........:crybaby::crybaby::mad::bang:

but really :frown: 'bout your tranny.

oh and buy an 80 :flipoff2:

I would look for something disconnected like a vacuum line on your trans, they typically just slip but if is shifting funny too it seems it could be something other than just being "worn out".

Yup- what he said. Is the fluid dark and does it smell burnt? Is your shifter lining up right? Connectors all snug?

What Ty said. Really.

Listen, my first cruiser was a 60. I fell in love and still miss that old beast to this day PERIOD EXCLAMATION POINT BUT...
I love my 80 even more. Auto, cruise, factory lockers, 16" wheels and more.
I will say with an 80 series, unless you have it built or looking like a 'safari rig', you'll only be seen in the world as a mall cruisin' suv. But what comfort!
JMHO:D  :meh:

Had a well built 60 and then bought my 80 for fun and began building it up. The 60 sat and collected dust as I did everything in the 80. Couldn't believe the difference in ride and comfort and I went anywhere my 60 did. Traded off the 60 and got a 40 which I gave to my dad.

Honestly not trying to get you to sell your 60 or anything close, but everything you have asked for lays in an 80. Capable, safe, 7 person wheeler. If its too bubbly hit some trees with it, if its too modern tear out the carpet and leather (although I have cloth :D), I even have my tape deck you can have for one.

forget it....... buy 100 series :flipoff2:

Maybe cuz he doesn't want to be confused with a 40 year old stay at home mom with 2.3 kids on her way to soccer practice.

I am going through my "prep" period for tomorrow's colonoscopy. No solid food since last night and nothing but clear liquids every 35 minutes mixed with a strong laxative. Procedure is tomorrow at 2 pm. When I get done I should be able to pick up my paycheck at work-if they pay us as usual. I won't be doing much for the next couple days. That tranny has not been serviced since you guys helped me put it in. Ever since we finally got it running right it has never missed a beat. Should I take it in and have a full service done on it or would someone in the club who is knowledgeable enough to do the job right rather get my $$$..?? As far as why I don't buy an 80 ?? It has to do with the same reason the tranny hasn't been serviced and the teeth in my mouth are full of holes. Know what I'm talkin' about?? My only hope to continue wheeling, which Daphne, I and the kids love dearly, is you guys! Just like Gold Coast cruiser down south I've gotten a ton of support and hard work to keep me on the trail. My 62...do I wish it was an 80 with factory lockers and more creature comforts....maybe. But a 62 in the driveway is worth a freeway full of 80's....that aren't mine! Anyone interested in helping me with the tranny (the cruiser will be sitting here a few days) let me know. I have a brand new pan gasket here but surely there is a filter to buy also..?? Come take it for a spin and see what it's doing. I'm upstairs on the toilet...:crybaby::cheers:

Good luck with the cleansing and the colon s*** :).

I hear you. Just flicking you crap.

Wish I could help but cannot in the next few days.
