it is very easy to bolt a Saginaw in place of the 3FE pump
Hey Matt, I’ve been searching a fair bit , not finding much…any info on this mounting setup?

I’ll know this coming week if I can get a factory passenger side PS pump mount to bolt on my 2F head…which I assume is what you had referenced above?

Cheers

Yeah, when he's 25. :)
Son is 20 now, he is busy chasing skirts and hanging with his buddies, pretty much where I was at. He still surprises me from time to time and hangs with me/us.

Small progress but still out there picking away yesterday.

Drilling & tapping holes and I figured out I need the rear axle further together to get this right. So spent all evening finding hardware and cleaning it up, the thread bar is getting a workout.

Cleaning today, I kinda dropped the ball on hardware.
None is labeled & none cleaned, so that is slow process getting first grease off & then soaking in rust converter.

The studs I did yesterday came out great so they are all in now with blue loctite.

Decided to clean the diff as best I can before it goes in the housing.

Do yourself a favor if you use the drill for anything other than a wire brush holder, order a "50-RV13 Röhm 1322450" chuck and make it the best drill in your shop.

They don't always work but this is a Amazon link..

Great. One more thing I need. :p

Actually I do need a new chuck for my Milwaukee corded 1/2" rotary hammer drill. Never thought about going keyless on that drill but that would be nice if they make one to fit it.

They are that good, eh?

Been a minute since this thing had springs under it…I need to ream the spring pad holes a bit, won’t quite slide on.

And another part of the puzzle arrived, thanks to @Gimme a 60 👍🏻

Looks like a simple mod to mount a Saginaw pump with this.

Working on the rear housing, I realized today I should do the sway bar mounts before putting the Diff in it so that is the next mini project.

Stuff like these little sway bar brackets just suck the hours, will still need to extend the links once it’s on the ground.

Thought I’d be welded up the rear housing by now…nope, weekend shop time was cleaning rusty crusty crap, ugh.

Did do a bit of CAD today, just thinking about the steering box.
