Try changing the oil.

I was going to ask if it was a wet clutch. There is a noticeable difference in my clutch after every oil change.

Changed oil ,no difference. Clutch does not slip. Never wrecked or submerged, other than temp. in rice field duck hunting. Mike

Yamaha for ya! Jk, have no idea what it could be unless it's idled up high, CID make it hard to put in gear coming out of neutral
