What exactly is a Xenophot bulb? It just a fancy Halogen or something totally different?

Xenophot bulbs are filled with Xenon, as opposed to Krypton. Xenon allows the filament to burn hotter, therefore giving a higher percentage of light.

Kinda strange .... Of the 3 types of Lightforce 170MM Strikers (halogen, xenophot, and HID), the ones with the xenophot bulbs are the least expensive.
