Hey guys,

looking for a 24v winch for the 61. Seeing as it weighs 6200lbs I'd need something 14,000lb+ I think. Something in the Okanagan would be good!

Is your ARB winch ready?

You don't need a 14k winch. A snatch block doubles your capacity so I think you would get away with as little as 8K. Seems to me the M8274 either comes in a 24v or can be wired so.
I have the M8274 on my 80 and have yet to stall it. Its fast, reliable and has 150' of line capacity.
It will function off 1 battery if you cycle and let your battery recover on a long heavy pull, so 24v should be good and fast for sure.

Keep in mind I have had it for 23 years so I am somewhat bias:D.

Call Steve over at EBI he just posted he is taking orders for 24v winches or lookover in the Coastal Cruiser Site

At the Coastal Cruiser meeting last night, Steve mentioned the 9000lb Grizzly 24V winches are $650 which includes cable, fairlead, winch plate, recovery kit, snatch block and the 12000lb ones are $750.

Best to call Steve as he's trying to place an order for a bunch very shortly he said. He needs to order 24 of them to get that price.

Awesome. Don't know anything about Kodiak winch's but seems like a good price for sure.
