hey guys, im gonna do a soa on my middy using 60 series diffs, i had a look around the net and theeirs info on weap bars, but not for a middy or how to mount them, has anyone been down this road?

I have them fitted front and rear of my FJ73 and its the same idea you need two fixed points on the diff and one on a cross member with a shackle attached. On mine i have the bar right between the pumkin and the spring mount its a snug fit. Bottem mounts level with the bottom of the housing and the top about the top of the pumpkin they the shackle mount it attaced to the cross member behind the transfer thats the only place i had space for it and it works great i used rod ends on all the ends too. Try to keep the top bar level. Will post some pics when i take some.

ok awsome, thanks mate, far out, i didnt relise they had to be so long!
but now i think about it, theyd probly have to go to the xmember to work properly,
did u fab yours yourself? some pics wud be grate when you get a chance,

You can see them both in this photo and get some idea's the lenght works well on the bak one to protect the tail shaft too. I found this photo will try to get some better close up one's soon.

Here is some more of the front one same idea. You should need one on the front unless you silly like i did and get over 600 mm of wheel travel. Resulting in about 250 mm of slip needed in the tail shaft thats why is rhs. I just use pipe that fits standard shackle rubbers in it to keep it simple.

See for your self there 39.5" iroks... There is a lot of time spent getting all that right. Yer the shaft angle looks dodgy there its not that bad at ride hight.

Thanks mate yer did it myself its got a 75 ute roof on it and i made the rest of the cab up to suit it like a space cab. I also made a drop down tail gate from sratch too.

are you running the 73 series diffs still?
did you have to fab the right hand frunt spring perch so it would sit up near the diff center?
or will the kit perches work?
just tryn to do my homework lol

Kit perches are fine for 73diffs but its cut right to the top so on the sixty it might need more fab work. No worry's its a big job but worth it the shackle reversal is a good idea to will your at it.
