This seems way to tight after trimming. What am I missing? Any tips or tricks? And which way does the inner fender piece go??

Looks good. Haven’t installed this one but even the Lenz snorkel took a bit of messing around to get it right

I trimmed 1/2 inch off the snorkel inlet, 1/2 inch off the inner fender piece on both ends, I also trimmed the rubber coupling as well. I made a separate template before hand by cutting a 3.5 inch hole in a big piece of paper, then putting the snorkel thru. I then used my fingers to somewhat crease where the mounting screws would go and then marked based on the crease.

I took that paper and lined it up with the provided template and made it the same shape - so I basically made an entire new template. The two holes closest to the door were both off by a 1/4 inch.

Make sure you used a jack and if you can completely removed the fender liner and the wheel it helps a lot.

Last I used double sided gorilla tape to mount on the A pillar. Took it for a drive and no vibration or movement at freeway speeds.

Haha I warned you that template sucked!

I agree though, I'm glad I set a whole day aside to do mine because it took a lot longer than I expected. There's not a lot of room in the fender well is there?

Looks good though, congrats on being done!

I assume they all fit the same being designed for the Prado. The quality seems to be good. Especially for the price. I’m normally a name brand guy but I don’t have any regrets.

Hey for whoever installs the next one, give this a try and let me know if it helps:

Cut the big hole out of the template and line it up on the fender side of the snorkel, making sure to line up the bolt holes as well. Mark the slight body line groove of the snorkel onto the template, tape the big hole back in (so you have center!) and see if the new mark you made for the body line helps you position the template.
